The Schaumburg Chapter of the Mars Society is a volunteer based organization. The purpose of the Schaumburg Chapter of the Mars Society is promote the exploration and settlement of Mars. This will be done by:

1. Sponsoring programs that educate and inform the community about the benefits of missions to Mars.

2. Working with area civic groups, schools and museums to host Mars-related programs.

3. Support of ever more aggressive government funded Mars exploration programs around the world.

4. Conducting Mars exploration on a private basis.
