I have written the following Java applets as an aid to educational exploration.

Limiting Magnitude for Telescopes: A Java Applet to identify the faintest star that you can see.
Solar System Scale Modeler: A Java applet that allows you to model the size of planets and moons as well as their orbital distances using a variety of scales.
